The Crown, a long standing favourite close to the magnificent parkland of Stonor House, is a 15th century brick and flint coaching inn with origins that may well date back to the 11th century. The Crown Inn , is wonderfully isolated in an absolutely beautiful part of The Chilterns 15 minutes away from Henley and around 20-30 minutes from Oxford and it remains one of the most charming and great places to dine, whether it's lunch or dinner.

People come from near and far to enjoy anything from a mouth-watering 3 course dinner, a light lunch or just a finely kept pint of beer. With roaring log fires in the winter and the picturesque beer garden for the summer; The Crown enjoys a growing reputation as a traditional English country pub for all the seasons.

We have free wi-fi in the pub, garden and from some parts of the cottage. Inside is a lovely old fashioned, low ceiling pub with lots of open fires to warm you up in winter. Outside garden is lovely and kids can have plenty of room to run around while the adults have plenty of seats to chill out in the nice summers evening . There is quite a large patio with a number of tables, and there is plenty of parking space.

Interesting adjacent barn for weddings and events, plus diddy cottage for rent. The garden areas (front and back) are both lovely and great for photos and suitable for a wedding venue while the cottages are very sweet, quaint and cosy.Since 2006, the barn has been licenced for Civil Ceremonies and provides a perfect venue for weddings or any other functions. The facilities in the cottage are very good- lots of fresh towels and bed linen, TV&DVD player (no DVDs), toiletries, iron and board, plenty of hangers.

Our food is lovely,British with a modern slant and of excellent quality. We serve lunch from 12pm to 2.30 pm Wednesday - Saturday and Bank Holidays while Sundays we serve until 3 pm .Food and drink prices are about right with a  varied and imaginative menu choices. For instance we have The Fishmarket Friday ,an extra menu alongside our normal ones.It is fabulous and offers a great array of various fish and seafood dishes all of which we bring in fresh in the morning.

We have a great team of staff who are friendly and attentive. If you happen to be in the Chilterns , drop by so that you can enjoy the hospitality of the Crown. Our beer is well kept , We have super food with a good wine list , family friendly with nice fire side options , your own cottage accommodation right next door and our beer is well kept.
